NAJATH COLLEGE STUDENTS’ PALLIATIVE TRUST
Najath College Students’ Palliative have been started in June 2016 with the support of Mannarkkad Muslim Orphanage Committee (MMOC), Principal Najath College, Staff and Students of Najath Arts and Science College. For ‘Three’ Years it has been given the service without having registration. The unique initiative of students and their enthusiasm in the charity field, the organizers are decided to register the association in order to get support of the society as well.
So, in 2019 January the association had registered under association not for profits ”Najath Arts and Science College Students’ Palliative Trust” (Reg. No. I/IV/2019). Since then, all the activities are carried out under the guidance and supervision of the Trust members. The operating expense of the Trust is found by the students themselves. They have taken the initiative for collecting the palliative fund. All students are very cooperative and every week they are collecting some money for the purpose of the operation of the trust.
There are different activities are conducted under the palliative association, among these the most unique activity doing by the association is serving free kanji (Gruel) in every Friday at Taluk Hospital Mannarkkad. This activity was the first Agenda of the meeting held at the first time of the palliative meeting in Najath Arts and Science College. Since then, it was started this activity until now, serving the kanji (Gruel) without any fail Even a single Friday. This itself shows the enthusiasm, interest and cooperation of all students and members of Najath Arts and Science College Palliative Unit.
Apart from this, the unit delivers different services like blood donation, providing financial assistance to poor and backward people in the society, providing scholarship to the students in Najath College, who are feeling difficulty in remitting their semester fees etc.
The general activities which are conducted by the association are to run, maintain or assist charity group for poor and needy for their education and care their health and such problems. Association is giving financial and other assistance in kind by way of distribution of books, cloths, meals etc. for the poor and needy.
The palliative unit is engaged in advancement of mentally retarded and physically challenged persons irrespective of their cast or religion and work for their welfare and wellbeing.
Students Palliative is rendering assistance to poor patients by providing medicines, health care, preventive medical services etc. Palliative Constitute scholarships to poor and deserving students to enabling them to continue their studies.
Association conducted free medical camps for students and parents and also engage in the general advancement of orphan, poor and backward people in the society irrespective of their status. Its renter helps to poor children who are talented in arts and sports.
Najath College students Palliative have conducted different programmes like orientation classes and camps to develop the mental ability of students by providing helps to those people who are suffering from natural calamities. Palliative is working for the education, wellbeing, counselling, cultural advancement and health care of women and children and also unit is working to uplift the abilities in sports and games of poor children.
Najath College Students’ Palliative is racing fund by collecting from students and receiving by way of donation etc. Another activity doing by the unit is the establishment of the endowment and scholarship for the promotion of poor and talented students.
As mentioned early by considering the activities, efforts and enthusiasm of students the palliative association has decided to register it as a Trust. So, in January 2019 the association has registered as “Najath Arts and Science College Students’ Palliative Trust”.
The major witnesseth of the Trust is that the Trustees desires of promoting education, culture and philosophy among the people all religion and be serve to the mankind by developing brother hood and by establishing and managing charitable activities and for such purpose.
The Trust instituted for charitable purpose with the capital raised by the Trustees alone, the power of administration and management is vested in the Trustees only, which shall be developed upon the elected successor of the Trustees at their retirement or death as the case may be. All future administration and management shall invariably be in such electoral order.
As the students are doing different activities in the society, they find a difficulty in transportation in the initial stages as they did the services by hiring rental vehicle, which had required a huge amount, by considering the difficulties facing by the students with regard to the transportation, the Trust decided to buy a vehicle. By discussing the matter to the students, they collected some money for this purpose. Thus, in 2019, Honorable MLA Adv. N Shamsudheen performed the flag-off of the Palliative Trust along with the inauguration of the Trust. Presently there are different kinds of social activities are doing by the students. wishing much more of social welfare activities to be done under the leadership of the Trust.
Minority Coaching Center
We are conducting the minority coaching center to provide free coaching classes for candidates preparing for PSC examinations and other competitive examinations, since October 2014 with financial assistance from minority whether department, Govt. of Kerala. The center is giving classes in G.K, English, Malayalam and Mathematics, on will Sundays and second Saturdays.
Women Development Cell (WDC)
The WDC was formed with the aim of protecting the welfare of girl students and enabling them to solve their personal problems and other grievances.
